Summing in controls in-on form footer

I have a text box with dollar values on a sub-form. In the
footer I have a control which is set to =[Amount] equal to
the control on the detail section. The control however end
up with a "#Error" in it when the form is run. This
happens in both Access 2000 and AccessXP. Any soulutions?

Is there a problem within both Access version which
require downloads to their respective suites to correct
this?
