sumproduct row limitation

I am having difficulty using the sumproduct function on databases. I seem to hit a limitation at roughly 16000+ rows. I know this because I write the function =sumproduct((range=value)*1) and I get an answer of 16,795 I believe.
The database has over 65,000 rows.
What am I doing wrong? When I sort the database by different keys, I get different numbers but the total still is 16,795.
Thanks.

Yeah, it appears to be a BAD bug. Please use Help/Send Feedback to
document it with MacBU.

Of course, for your example, using SUMIF() works correctly. I haven't
seen any problem with SUMIFS(), either.

Thanks. We have received this report (via John) and we can reproduce the
problem too. It appears to be related to our expansion of the Excel grid in
Excel 2008 from its previous limitation of 65536 rows to its new limit of
1048576. We'll investigate this.

Thanks,

Pat
