support for adobe fonts

I have Visio 2007. I can use adobe fonts in Word, but they do not apear in
the Visio font list. I see from threads that Adobe type 3 fonts may not be
supported (I want to use Tekton Pro). Is this true? Is that a plan and
schedule to support Adobe fonts?
