Support for Net Folders is discontinued. Why? and what is altern?

I would like to share my MS Office Outlook 2003 w/ BCM with several
colleagues via the web. I have tried Sharepoint but it is too cumbersome. Any
ideas?

ACT! is a possibility but we would prefer MS Office Outlook 2003 w/ BCM

Maybe and only if you've got a w2k or w2k3 server you could copy the folder
where the items are stored (not the msde database) and
enable 'offline folders'. Let BCM look at your local folder and underwater
sync it with the network folder which has offline folder enabled.

Just an idea..
