Support for Secure RSS feeds?

Hi all. I do not see a way to subscribe to secure/password protected feeds
in Outlook 2007. I also do not see this topic addressed in help. I would
really like to be able to use Outlook to subscribe to things like
FeedBurner's FeedBulletin and the Recent Changes feed of my company's wiki.

Therefore, assuming I'm not missing anything, I would like to suggest that
support for secure RSS feeds get added.

UPDATE: The above problem occurred when I had imported my feeds list from an
OPML file. I just now tried to add the feed and pressing the Advanced button
did cause me to be prompted for my user name and passowrd.

How did you add the RSS feed, that you saw an "Advanced" button?

I'm adding via Account Settings, and I'm simply told that the RSS content
can't be downloaded because I don't have the required credentials. The
process of adding the feed then aborts, and I'm never given the chance to add
credentials.

1. Right click on RSS Feeds in Tree View
2. Choose Add a New RSS Feed...
3. In the resulting dialog, enter the URL
4. Press the Add button
5. A new dialog will appear asking you if you want to add the feed. The
choices are yes, no, and advanced. Press Advanced. You should then be
prompted.

Wow, thank you *very* much. That works perfectly.

Adding a feed via Account Settings, which in some places is the only method
mentioned for adding a feed, works through a similar dialogue box, but
*without* the "Advanced" option.

And I'd since found official sources saying that credentials
(authentication, passwords) are simply not supported in Outlook 12. I guess
that's not quite right!

I've used the same steps, but I get a message that the link may not be a
valid RSS feed. (I pulled the URL from the address bar in IE.)

Any thoughts?

This solution does not seem to work on https sites using encryption. On
clicking the Advanced button I receive message '..... Office is unable to
connect to the server'.

It all works nicely using Mozilla Thunderbird, why not MSOutlook?
