Support of new SQL versions

M

Marcus Pierce

My SQL Admin is planning the following:

1. a migration to a new machine
2. a new Operating System (Windows Server 2003, 64-bit)
3. an upgrade to a new RDBMS version (SQL Server 2005, 64-bit)

He has asked me the following, and I have no idea how to answer him. I've
looked through all of the documentation, but no specific mention of this:

1. Does Project support the 64-bit version of the Windows Server 2003
Operating System?
2. Does Project support the 32-bit version of the SQL Server 2005 RDBMS?
3. Does Project support the 64-bit version of SQL Server 2005 RDBMS?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

My company found out that Project Server does not currently support SQL
Server 2005.
Even the Project Server SP2a sql scripts are not SQL Server 2005 ready.

We are currently installing on a Windows 2003 Server x64 R2 SP1, using SQL
server 2000. So far, so good ...
