Suppress footer on last page

J

Jane Sheldon

I'm using Word 2000 on the XP platform. I'd like to
eliminate the footer information on the last page of a
newsletter (the last page becomes a mailing label and a
footer looks inappropriate there).

Using "View" "Header/Footer" I see a button to suppress
the footer on the first page, but I don't need that for
this project.

Any information appreciated.

Many thanks,

Jane

By inserting a Section Break before the last page, you
will get two separate footers and can delete everything
in the footer for the last page. Make sure Same As
Previous is turned off.

Jane,

This can be done using a condtional IF field in the footer.

In the example below, each pair of field braces { } must
be iserted using CTRL+F9:

{ IF { PAGE } < { NUMPAGE }"Your Footer Text" }
