Suppress some options of menus in MDE

How can I remove or gray out certain areas of default menus in my MDE? For
example, in the "Tools" menu, I don't only users to have the options of
Spelling, Autocorrect and Office Links (I certainly don't want them having
the startup options or database utilities.)

TIA,

Susan

Create your own custom menus that have the commands you want. Set that as
the default menu in Tools, Startup.

The best way to control menu and toolbars is to use the options in Startup
to disable all of the built in ones and provide your own. Then you can have
just the items on them you want.

There are ways to enable/disable items on the existing menus from code, but
some of those options you are describing are available from multiple menus,
toolbars, and shortcut menus and it would be difficult to deal with all of
them.

In your Startup options, uncheck Allow FullMenus. I, as routine, uncheck
everything for a db that I convert to mde.

Unfortunately they lose too much that way - such as the ability to export
reports or merge with Word... Will go the custom menu route instead.

Thanks!
