Supress Blank Lines

R

Richard Albrecht

Hi,

I have a report in Access 2000 that has the following fields in this layout:

Address 1
Address 2
Address 3
Additional fields

The problem is 2 or three of these can be blank, I want to suppress the
blank lines. I've tried setting can shrink to true but that doesn't seem to
work.

Any ideas?

TIA

The shrink yes should work, you may also want to set the
shrink for the report band to yes.
Keep in mind if you have fields side by side shrink may
not work if the adjacent field does have data in it or if
the other filed is not set to shrink.
Hope this helps.

Are you suggesting you don't have labels or any other controls to the left
or right of the text boxes you would like to shrink? Are the values actually
null or do you have zero-length strings?

Hi Richard,

Microsoft Access knowledge base article 209653 is exactly
what you are looking for! Good luck!
