Sure this is simple (date type prob)

Hi all,

I have a cell with a date in it representing hours worked. eg 34:58
34 hours and 58 minutes. I need to multiply it by an hourly wage, e
4.52 and get the amount earned. Unfortuantely I do not know how to d
this. Can anyone help?

where i5 is 34:58 and j4 is 4.50 = $157.35
=I5*24*$J$4

Assuming your cell with 34:58 is A1 and B1 has 4.52

In C1 enter =(A1*24)*B1 and format as General or Currency

I get $139.87 as earned income.
