Surrogate Timesheet Data

Hello - and thanks for reading this post!

I am running/creating reports that vew timesheet data and provide some
audit reports. The normal timesheets behave as expected and I can see
the data in the tables (also as expected).

But when I create a surrogate timesheet for a resource and 'save and
submit' the timesheet, I am not able to view this data in the
database. I expected this data to be stored in the same area as the
other timesheet data, but it doesn't appear to be.

Does anyone have any idea where this data is stored?

Please advise.

In the reporting database surrogate timesheet data gets associated
with the surrogate not with the individual whose time is being
recorded. Obviously!!!

Mike,

Thank you for your sarcastiuc sounding response. Allow me to ask the
question in a diffferent way that may show why it is not quite as
obvious as you may think.

No matter who the surrogate timesheet data is associated with, I still
expect to see additional data in the timesheet tables when a surrogate
timesheet is submitted. In my virtual environment, I am NOT seeing
this.

Please advise if you have any wisdom in this area.

The irony was directed at Microsoft for developing such crappy
functionality not at you for asking the question. Apologies for the
misunderstanding. Have you reviewed the data in the Timesheet cube or
are you looking directly into Reporting tables. First create a cube
based view using the timesheet cube and see if you can identify the
surrogate data. If its there then review the way you are querying the
database.

Mike
