One of my users is seeing an issue and I am not sure if it is a bug,
an 'as designed', or a flaw in our process.
Here is the scenario: (names changed to protect the innocent)
Lucy is a timesheet manager for Pam. Pam is on maternity leave so Lucy
is putting in a surrogate timesheet for her. She gets the error "The
submitted timesheet contains lines which either pending approval or
have been rejected. You must either delete these lines from your
timesheet or obtain approvals and resubmit" when she tries to save and
submit.
This ONLY happens with Administrative time (which maternity leave is
categorized as). It appears that Admin time has to be approved before
it can be submitted. This process leaves the timesheet in limbo
because the timesheet does not appear in Lucy's approval page and on
the surrogate timesheet page there is no edit option, only a create
new option. When Lucy creates a new surrogate sheet for the same time
period it overwrites the old one instead of editing and the cycle
starts again.
Any ideas/thoughts/questions?
Thanks in advance.
