Suspected Virus in ME - Office apps.

Has anyone heard of an MS Office virus whereby all Microsoft Office applications are deleted but all other software remains unaffected? This seems to have happened to my home pc (using Windows ME). It also appears to have disabled my broadband connection.

It is probably someone in your household, most likely under 10.

Did you run your virus software to find any infections if any
Before you do, update it first so you get an updated scan
Or,as stated it could be a user of your system.

Thanks Chris. Unfortunately our anti-virus software was a tad out of date (that was my other half's domain) but I have since installed sophos which did find a dialler virus.. still I can't quite fathom why it only seemed to affect MS Office.. perhaps it occured when it changed the registry settings? Who knows. Thanks for your help. Will try re-installing and reconfiguring regedit and go from there

Just to note, there are no children in our household

thank
Fleur
