Suspending project activities

What is the best way to suspend task activities in a project that is now
on-hold? We have a project that has been published and tasks started.
However, this project is now on hold and we do not have new dates to resume
project work.

Thanks-
Christina

1. The PM should process all outstanding time updates.
2. If you have an outline code that indicates project status, set it.
3. In addition, the Project Manager should open the project and select
Tools > Build Team From Enterprise. In the project team window on the
right, the PM should change everyone's Booking Type from "Confirmed" to
"Proposed" and republish. This will take the timesheet entries out of
the resources' timesheets. The PM (and others) will still be able to
see the project in the project list and in the Project Center, but the
team members will not see the tasks and not be able to charge time to
the project.
4. When the project is restarted, the PM should replan the activities,
change the Booking Type from Proposed to Confirmed, and republish to
put the tasks back on people's timesheets.

Hope this helped,

Mark- this helped quite a bit. My only question would be if you could
clarify what you mean in item 1... to process all outstanding time updates.

Thanks!!

Glad to help.

What I meant by item 1 is that if the project had been published and
people had worked on it and entered hours against tasks, those updates
should be processed by the project manager so we don't have actual
hours that haven't been applied.

Best Regards,
Mark

gotcha. Thank you so much! I would rate your reply but for whatever reason
I don't seem to have that option.
