svchost.exe error

Hi there,

Recently many of my users here in the office has been
getting the svchost error. It is very frustrating because
we need to always reboot the computer, as it affects the
office programs.

Is there a resolution to this.

I had this problem on my pc. There is a virus/worm going
around that causes a svchost.exe error. I ran the free
virus checker available from Trend Micros web site and it
cured the problem. Worth a try. The link is

Sounds like you have gotten the BLASTER worm on your computers. Your IT
person should be taking care of this.
