can somebody pls tell how to do a switch board without opening the ctrl+
thing.

How do do *what* with a Switchboard? Are you talking about a
switchboard created with the wizard provided for that purpose (via
the Tools menu)?

Many Access developers create Switchboard using unbound Forms and Command
Buttons (with code or macro to open a Form), Text Boxes and Combo Boxes for
passing arguments/parameters.

If you felt compelled to do so, you could even create a complex solution
such as created by the Switchboard Manager -- but a simple problem
(navigation) rarely requires such a complex solution.
