Suddenly I am haivng trokuble switching profiles in OL 2002 (Win XP). I
have two profiles, one for business and the other personal. As I recall
this was to keep business e-mail and personal e-mail separate. (Maybe that
was not a great idea but that was the advice I was given a year or so ago)
Until yesterday I was able to switch OL rofiles simply by closing OL and
restarting it. When it restarted it would prompt me to select a profile.
Now when I restart OL it no longer prompts me for a profile but uses the
same profile as when it was last open. I can't figure out how to manually
change the profile. I tried OL Help ("Switch to another OL e-mail profile")
which tells me to open the Mail Setup dialog box by going to Control Panel,
User Accounts and clicking Mail. But when I do so there is no Mail to
click, so that doesn't work. If I go to Mail in Control Panel and click
Show Profiles I see my two profiles and under When starting OL use this
profiles, a dot with Prompt for a Profile to be Used. But of course OL
seems to be ignoring this instruction. What gives? And how can I fix it?
And I guess I ought to reconsider using two profiles.
