Switchboard stuck as startup page with no toolbar

In Access 2003 I put the switchboard as the startup page in the startup menu
and unchecked all the boxes thinking this would prevent unwanted editing, now
I can't edit the switchboard or alter it and have to hit F11 to open the
database control panel, I can create new queries and reports but have no way
of adding them to the switchboard. I tried deleting the switchboard from the
control panel in a copy and now when I try to open it it says the form
doesnot exist and won't open the database. How do I get back to the normal
toolbars so I can edit the switchboard. PLease help, I'm very stuck!!
Thanks

Hold down the shift key when you open the app.

Keith is right, unless you deselect the "Allow bypass key" feature. Then I
suggest to try a repair (Tools - database Utilities) and if this does not
work try to export everyting in a ne DB and create a new swithboard.
