Switched to ATT, now Entourage won't SEND e-mail. Receives just fine.

We switched to ATT, now Entourage won't SEND e-mail but it receives just fine.
It used to work when I had comcast.

I run a few websites and I have my e-mails set up through Entourage. This all
used to work fine and dandy until we switched to ATT.

I tried adding smtp and pop to my address and adjusting the ports like every
other link out there is telling me to, but it doesn't work. I think that
method's not working because they aren't ATT or yahoo e-mail accounts,
they're my own domain e-mails.

Please help :(

You're leaving out one critical detail: what happens when you try?

Try using smtp.sbcglobal.net.

AT&T blocks connections to non-AT&T/Yahoo SMTP servers using Port 25.

When I try, it makes the cannot send noise. Cannot connect. But I receive
just fine. Your smtp solution does not work.

That didn't send me to the article, just the search page.

when I try sending when I add smtp to my e-mail I get this error "An unknown
error (-17199) occurred." but when I don't have the smtp before my address I
only get the can't send noise.

These are the settings I use, try these settings:

SMTP server: smtp.att.yahoo.com

Then click the advanced sending options:
Check all 3 boxes
The SMTP port number is 465
Select 'Use same settings as receiving server'

You may need to quit and restart Entourage after getting the -17199
error. You should also open the Keychain application and repair your
keychains (Keychain First Aid).

:( still not working. I don't know if it's because my e-mail isn't an att.
yahoo address.

I'm sorry, I missed that you are using your own domain. I too have an
internal mail server, and can no longer send email out through AT&T.
AT&T started blocking non-ATT domains from being sent out some time
back.

First, you have to use your AT&T account to authenticate in the
advanced sending options. Select the 'Log on Using' radio button and
put in your AT&T account name and password.

You ALSO have to tell AT&T about each account you want to be able to
send from using AT&T. Sign into your AT&T account via the web
interface and go to Mail Options (Options popup menu on left). Then
click on Accounts, and finally click on Add or Edit an Account. Your
default account (AT&T/Yahoo Mail) should be listed already. Just add
the other addresses that you want to be able to send mail from using
your AT&T account and follow their instructions.

I found the whole process very annoying, but it allows them to prevent
some forms of spam being sent out using AT&T.

So, before I kick uVerse out and return to Comcast (which is the
lesser of 2 evils it seems), has anyone been able to use AT&T and
Entourage to send email? I've changed my settings to comply with
AT&T's recommendation:

SMTP server: smtp.att.yahoo.com
In advanced options, all boxes are checked, and port 465 is specified.

And, I've restarted Entourage.

The error messages have varied, but I'm currently getting: Security
failure. Personal certificate required. Error 2995

I have only one account, and I'm using the appropriate name and
password.
