On a few occasions, Suzanne Barnhill has given me complete
insturctions how to create a shortcut which would open word
(xp) with the last document edited (mfile1 switch). I have
used it successfully.
Today, however, the darndest thing has happened for no
apparent reason. Not only does word open with the last
edited document, but if I attempt to open a new file, I
still get the last document opened. I have deleted to
"last edited word document" shortcut and attempted by
several means to create a new one...all with no result.
I have attempted to edit the "target" in the shortcut no no
avail.
I have attempted to open with start, programs, word but the
same result. I simply cannot launch word or open a new
word file ....unless I am satisfied with editing the last
file opened...
