Our project was set up initially to use managed time periods. I now have
some problems to fix.
Can I switch to non-managed time periods and make changes to Project (in
MS Project) then republish assignments to overwrite actual work enetered by
resources then switch back to managed time periods?
I see where a user had a similar problem with bad data in the project
record.

Yes, your Project Server administrator can temporarily disable Managed Time
Periods so you can manually enter actuals in the Microsoft Project plan and
then republish the assignments. After you have done so, your Project Server
administrator should re-enable the Managed Time Periods feature. Hope this
helps.
