I currently have Office 2003 on my computer. I also want to be able to use
Office 2007. Can I install both on the same hard drive or do I need to I
have to purchase another USB hard disk. Once both are installed I want to be
able to switch from Office 2003 and Office 2007. Is this possible?. Where
can I find instructions on how to install both of them?

Yes, but you will have to choose the custom install option and you will only
be able to have one instance of Outlook. You will also have to install 2007
into a different folder than 2003 and that 2007 will become the default
office suite.

I currently have installed Office components from O2k and 2003, together
with Office 2007
The MS reccommendation is to install earliest version first (Versions from
2003 install to version specific folders) update, then install later version
The shortcuts will be replaced by the later version, so you should rename
earlier shortcuts first, eg Word > Word03
Opening a file from explorer will open latest version
You can only install a single instance of Outlook
