switching images from explorer to firefox

Problem: A green bar I added in my website appears where it is supposed to in
explorer, but painfully off in mozilla firefox. Greater detail:

i understand that i do not know http or any of that kind of thing, so i
cannot make my website out of code (which would be, really, the only way to
make a website that works and looks good in different browsers). I also
understand that using spaces, tabs, and editing constructed images in other
programs and then bringing them into frontpage and screwing around with them
until they look like i want them to is not the way to properly put together a
website because it will just cause further complications.

my website: http://www.minibroach.com/

If one goes to the website i put up already, it will be easy to notice that
the descriptions for the machines, as well as the green bars with the titles
in them, are all just one big pic. I was told that if i put a lot of words
on all the pages, that search engines would have a much easier time comming
up with my website as a result. (having most of the keywords on my index
page is also something that affects the search engine results)

Pretty much, i started taking away that one big giant pic on each page and
started typing out the descriptions and such, putting them in layers, while
trying not to do any "keyboard spacing" with the letters. The thing is, i
would really, really, really like to keep the green bars. Now, that giant
image

.....[(the two green bars, and the descriptions of the machines) the pictures
of the machines themselfs, i managed to separate and put into their own layer
just fine].....

was created by some random guy, in Publisher. I managed to fool around with
the image of the green bars in both Publisher and Frontpage and put the green
bars in a layer, but even though the green bar is in the layer, it does not
necessarily have to be completely in the layer box, or even in the layer box
at all. Pretty much, when i move the layer itself, the green bar will move
along with it exactly, no matter where it is on the screen (i did copy and
pase the green bar image into the layer, because the cursor was blinking
inside the layer when i pasted it). After noticing, i just lined the image
of the green bar up with the layer that it was supposed to be in and put it
in the spot where it should go on the page. In internet explorer it looks
fine, in mozilla firefox, the green bar appears much more South-east from
it's original position.

I checked the website in explorer (default in frontpage) and looked at it
after, in mozilla firefox. I noticed that the small boxes on the bottom
containing links and words shifted slightly downward in mozilla, but i didn't
care, this green bar thing, though, is kinda important and it shifts way too
much.

-i hope this explaination wasn't too much of a pain in the butt

Don't use layers! Use tables to layout your image files and text areas.
Publisher files should not be used for web pages... ever! Read this article:

[And just for me please use I instead of i.]

WOWO! that was definately what the doctor ordered. I am in the process of
redoing the site, and i have redone all most all of the machine description
pages. I then previewed the pages in explorer AND mozilla fire fox and it
looks great in both of them! The only thing, though, is that the pictures
that i took from publisher are ever so slightly off. Next time i build a
site i will remember not to use publisher images -- I just needed these ones.
(i didn't use the green bars, i used the images of the machines themselves)
That site of the top ten things, or whatever was awsome, as well! i'm sorry
but i'm am wicked happy. Even though the cells take a few minutes to get
used to, they make life SSSOO much easier. You have been a GREAT help thank
you!!!!!
