If you have already installed the Palm Desktop software that came with your
Treo, great! If not, install it. That will install the HotSync Manager,
which you need.

Then, install the Entourage Handheld Synchronization conduit. Go to
/Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Additional Tools/, and launch the
"Handheld Sync Installer".

When that's done, you need to enable synchronization with your Treo:
1. Launch the HotSync Manager application (usually located in
/Applications/Palm/).
2. Under the HotSync menu, choose Conduit Settings.
3. Double-click the "Entourage Conduit" entry.
4. Near the bottom, check the option to "Enable synchronization with these
new handhelds."
[Note: For the initial synchronization, choose for each item type whether
you want information to go from Entourage to the Treo (Entourage overwrites
Treo) or from the Treo into Entourage (Handheld overwrites Entourage). Then
check "Do once and then synchronize" for all four item types.]
5. Click OK.

You should then be ready to synchronize. Connect your Treo to the computer,
and synchronize.

You can read some more information about synchronizing on my web site:

Thanks a ton fro your support.

Two more questions
1. Does it synchronize this well with E61 also.
2. Do I need to update entourage first before I can get the results.

Thanks,

Pranav.

I'm not sure what you are referring to here.
2. Do I need to update entourage first before I can get the results.

I would recommend that you go to Help > Check for Updates in Entourage to
get the latest updates before attempting this. It may work if you don't,
though.
Thanks,

Pranav.

Thanks for your help again. However somehow the palm software is not
getting installed on my computer. It gives the following error

The application "Transport Monitor" could not be launched because of a
shared library error: "h<Transport Monitor><Transport
Monitor><HotSyncLib.PPC><__ct__16CTransportRelMacFP18OpaqueTransportRefUc>"

The nI am not able to use the hotsync manager beyond that.

Usually a shared library error can mean the problem is with the CarbonLib
file in Mac OS X.

RESOLUTION
The damaged file belongs to the Mac Operating System. To resolve this
problem, follow these steps:

1. Repair disk permissions. Use the Disk Utility to repair and then
verify disk permissions. Directions here:
<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/glossary/repair_permissions.html>

2. Restart the system, and then check to see whether all programs start.

3. Perform an "Archive and Installation" of Mac OS X. Click the following
link to find the details of this procedure:
