If you have already installed the Palm Desktop software that came with your
Treo, great! If not, install it. That will install the HotSync Manager,
which you need.
Then, install the Entourage Handheld Synchronization conduit. Go to
/Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Additional Tools/, and launch the
"Handheld Sync Installer".
When that's done, you need to enable synchronization with your Treo:
1. Launch the HotSync Manager application (usually located in
/Applications/Palm/).
2. Under the HotSync menu, choose Conduit Settings.
3. Double-click the "Entourage Conduit" entry.
4. Near the bottom, check the option to "Enable synchronization with these
new handhelds."
[Note: For the initial synchronization, choose for each item type whether
you want information to go from Entourage to the Treo (Entourage overwrites
Treo) or from the Treo into Entourage (Handheld overwrites Entourage). Then
check "Do once and then synchronize" for all four item types.]
5. Click OK.
You should then be ready to synchronize. Connect your Treo to the computer,
and synchronize.
You can read some more information about synchronizing on my web site:
