FAO : the Technical dept . Manager at symantec

I have bought the winfax pro 10.02 recently and then had to update to 10.03 about three weeks ago . I have been trying to resolve a problem in word documents both inserting into winfax and attaching. Also i cannot get a word document to print to winfax printer while in word.

Axel Beck is trying to assist and has sent me some possible things to try - but quite honestly i feel totally frustrated by your attention to detail in resolving my predicament.

why can someone not stick with the issue and help me to resolve what is an obvious problem given the amount of correspondence and documents pertaining to his on your web support site.

The technical dept have never once lifted one call of mine in almost three weeks and i am considering going to consumer affairs and the press watchdogs to highlight this catastrophe .

Can someone be assigned to resolve and stick with the issue or tell me honestly it does not work and i will conclude my interest and ask for a full refunds with costs for time wasted.

i have never dealt with such a company before they do not give a toss about this incompatability

Much the easiest way of using Winfax with Word is to forget all about the
Winfax add-in (unistall it) and simply print directly to the winfax driver.
The following macro will do the trick. Add it to a toolbar button:

Sub FaxPrint()
Dim sCurrentPrinter As String
sCurrentPrinter = ActivePrinter
ActivePrinter = "WinFax"
Application.PrintOut FileName:=""
ActivePrinter = sCurrentPrinter
End Sub

See http://www.gmayor.com/installing_macro.htm

If Winfax itself is not working, then the most likely reason is that it is
not talking to the modem. Check the settings. I recently had some similar
troubles when Windows Update updated my modem driver. I had to delete all
references to the modem in Windows and let Windows then Winfax find the
'new' modem.
