Symbol is missing from the insert menu

I have Outlook 2003, and im trying to insert a small 2 symbol eg m2 (m
squared) into a new email.

I click on the Insert menu and there is no Symbol menu?

Any idea where it is? Or how to get it back?

Insert Symbol exists only when you are using Word as the editor. You
will have to use the Windows Character Map if you use the Outlook editor.
