How can quickly I open and view a workbook directly from a
shared folder of a desktop PC using my Handheld PC (PDT-
8146).
I open this shared file from a desktop (with office 2000
pro) by typing the path to the shared folder in the open
path dialogue box. Please note that the Handheld PC is
connected to the network via wireless access point and
network connectivity was tested okay. Once the Handheld PC
is connected to the path and shows the filename of the
shared folder, I could not open the file by double-
tapping. I have to copy and paste the file locally to the
Handheld PC and from there I can double-tap to open and
browse the file. Is there a way to create a shortcut to
the network path on the H/PC desktop?
