symbols basic latin

Hi all,
I have a user who uses basic latin symbols and randomly the form she types
them in in word 2003 prints a line of boxes with with numbers and/or letters
(a garbage line). This line appears in the middle of correctly typed lines.
she is printing to an HP laserjet 4000 which is networked by an ip port.
I'm assuming it is a driver problem but I am using the latest driver from HP
PCL6.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so what is the fix?

You might not want the "latest driver" from HP. You may want to try the
PLC5 one. Seems some drivers don't work as well in some situations as
others.
