symbols mixed up in math equation editor

When I send my document from my laptop (which has office home and student
2007 installed) to my desktop (which has the EXACT same version of office
home and student 2007 installed) to print my document, the math equations
symbols, such as parenthesis, chemical formulas and +/- signs have turned
into nonsense symbols like a bell, a lightning bolt or stop sign. When I
attempt to edit by opening the math equation box, my equation looks right but
switches back to nonsense when I close the box. Bullet points in other parts
of the document also switch but I am able to fix those. Any help will be most
appreciated.

Hmm. Why not share the printer and print directly from the laptop?
(Not an answer as such but why do it twice?)
