I am looking to enter a service mark like the trade markâ„¢. I can not find the sm (service mark) symbol in the symbols area of the tool bar. Can anyone help me with this.

Thanks
Rich

coz it ain't there. You need to find a font that contains it, or create your
own.

If it's just a combination of superscripted letters like the trademark
symbol, then you can do the superscripting yourself with the Fonts dialog.
You can then make an AutoCorrect entry which will replace (sm) with the
formatted text.

If the service mark is just small versions of the letters
SM superscripted, you should be able to generate a look-
alike that way. If you need the SM inside a circle, try
this:

1. In Arial, type the letters OSM.
2. Format the SM as 6 pt superscript
3. Format the O as 14 pt, then:
a) click on the 'Charater Spacing' tab
b) Change the Spacing to 'Condensed'
c) Set 'By' to 10pt.

Cheers

You can find it as glyph 2120 in the Arial Unicode MS font (in the
Letterlike Symbols subset), or you can create your own using superscript,
then save it as an AutoText or formatted AutoCorrect entry.
