Two ways:
1. Type the word and continue with "SM" as in WendellSM, then select SM and
choose Font from the format drop down menu, click on the Font tab then check
Superscript and OK.
2. Choose Symbol from the Insert drop down menu, change the Font to Arial
Unicode MS, Change the Subset to Combining Diacritics and then select the SM
symbol.
Actually, the service mark symbol is in the "Letterlike Symbols" character
subset.
