Sync contacts from Outlook into Smartphone 2002

I'm synching Outlook into a Motorola MPX200. Contacts
telephone numbers sync ok , but addresses aren't
transferred.
However if I export individual files using a 'Vcard' it
will take all the info (but this is manual and defeats
the purpose of synching).
Any thoughts what I might be missing here ??
