I had to wipe my blackberry 8830 and didn't think to backup the emails on it. Now, I still have them on the macbook pro I use, but is there any way to get them back ON to the blackberry?

Thanks for the help.

I don't think so. I use Missing Sync for the BlackBerry and definitely
not. I did test PocketMac and I recall there was a mail module but I
never looked into it as I had no need so I have no idea whether it
does a two way sync. If it does, the e-mail you want would have to be
on your desktop.

I've had to swipe my device a couple of times for different reasons
but I must admit I never was concerned that the e-mail was no longer
on the BlackBerry. I have it set to erase this at one month and its
never concerned me. When I want historical information I might search
for it on the BlackBerry but I generally go to my computer for that.

I guess really doing regular backups of your device using the desktop
manager would be a good thing especially if you're going to do
something as major as a swipe of the handheld. Since that just wipes
everything there's stuff you might want back - in my case I always
want my autotext stuff so anytime I do anything significant that would
affect the device I do a backup. I don't tend to do regular backups of
the device but always before I do something like swipe or even add or
remove an app etc.

Cue,

PocketMac will do a 2 way sync on the email according to the software. I just have not been able to get a sync working at all.

Yes, I had PocketMac working with my 8310 but I was unable to get it
to work with my BlackBerry Bold even after installing the updated USB
driver that was supposed to resolve the problem. I gave up trying to
get PocketMac to work.

I use Missing Sync for the BlackBerry V2. Although when this first
came out it was pretty shaky, it seems fairly good now. It is way
faster than PocketMac, does Blue Tooth sync and syncs SMS and call
logs but not e-mail. It is still a touch shaky and can act up
occassionally requiring a few kicks but I'm guessing Markspace will
work these final kinks out.

This is the one downside of using the BlackBerry with the Mac. You
need to use sync services to sync, a third party app and issues with
sync services and then more issues with Entourage. Sync'g in the
Windows environment is easier and more reliable as you're using the
vendor's desktop manager that sync's directly with the device. There's
no sync services or third party apps to worry about so if something
goes wrong its pretty easy to isolate. However, I haven't found that
anything goes wrong with the BlackBerry Desktop. I also use a Palm and
its Windows desktop just works also.
