Hi,
I'm having trouble getting Entourage 2001 for OS X to synchronise or to
transfer any data from the handheld to the Entourage desktop. The Sync
crashes after only a few records have been transferred. I use Missing
Sync latest version for sync. The Sync works fine to the Palm Desktop,
just not Entourage.
I read your KnowledgeBase article about Entourage open-ended
apointments. In case this might have been an issue causing the crash, I
was able to use use Datebook5 on the Palm to make all open-ended events
closed (ending on or before 2028). I would not be interested in
upgrading to the current version unless you can show me that by demo
synchronizing can be accomplished. As it is, Entourage (so far as I
know) does not support sync to/from via iSync of iCal, Addressbook,
Mail. Third party applications do and additional costs.
If anybody has additional information about this issue which apparently
is well known(?) among Entourage users and dare I say it, M$, please
advise. I can give information on Paul Berkowitz's fine scripting
series Entourage-iCal. Unfortunately since Entourage X(2001) did not
support the feature needed, this only works in Entourage 2004 for OS X.
I can testify that Entourage X-Addressbook did in fact sync properly.
