Do you mean the three choices of -sync contacts, sync events and tasks
with ICal and sync entourage notes? If so what do I do if I want to
sync both Calendar and contacts?
Both of those are checked right now.
If not them what modules are you talking about?
Yes, the three modules and it sounds like you have them all turned on.
The way to avoid sync issues is to have only one turned on at a time.
So lets say that's cal and tasks but now you need to sync contacts. Go
into Ent prefs and turn off the active module, click on the module you
want to sync and at the ok a dialogue will pop up and at this choose
combine. If you have a disk and CPU monitor wait till they've calmed
down and the sync is complete. Now go back into Ent sync prefs and
turn off contacts, turn on cal and at the ok choose combine.
This method provides 100% reliable syncs. The sync issue with Ent has
not been resolved so if you don't want to deal with sync messes you
have to do this even though its a bit of a nuisance.
Two other things I suggest. Make sure you have reliable backups
(everything Ent quit so search in the forum for Quit Daemon where
Diane referenced me to a great Applescript). Secondly, evaluate
carefully whether you need to use entourage or whether just the apple
apps ical etc would work. There are no sync issues with these and if
you don't need all the power of Entourage they provide much cleaner
syncs with handhelds.
Let me know if this helps and how you make out.
