Sync Issues

Is this the proper forum to report potential bugs?

I've got a OneNote 2007 notebook stored on a sharepoint site. I was adding
a note to it, pretty short note at that... And at some point during my
typing a little note appeared across the top tellimg me that the section had
been corrupted and to click on the message to fix the problem.

So I clicked on the message. OneNote went through it's fix up process and
at the end did a sync. After the sync (and I got a little green checkmark on
the tab) I no longer had the note that I was working on.

In it's place is a page title "Untitled Page" and on the page itself is an
exclamation point icon and a note that says: "This page was added by another
user and has not yet been fully synced. The page content will be available
after it has been synced."

I can't delete the page or anything. I'm the only one that has access, so
it's not another user... And OneNote shows that the notebook has been
successfully synced. (And when did "synced" become a real word? If it's a
hack of synchronized, shouldn't it be spelled sync'd? - but... I digress...)

Has anyone seen this issue before? Can anyone tell me how to get rid of
this "unsynced" page in my notebook?

Thanks.

You can force a sync by pressing F9. Wait till it's fully synced and see
if you still have the same issue.
Also, closing & reopening ON is a good idea.

Well of course I tried re-sync'ing... And restarting. The sync process is
what ends up with the "page added by another user" error. Before that it
just says there is an unknown error opening the page. There's corruption in
the notebook, I'm guessing. Maybe the TOC file? I was just looking for a
way to fix it without dragging all the good notes to yet another notebook.

Any thoughts?

Wait for more answers to your post. I don't use ON with SharePoint, so
my knowledge on sync issues related to it is limited to suggesting to
resync.

Sharepoint is just a mechanism to host the notebook folder. Not really any
magic to the integration.

I already created a new notebook and moved the good notes into it. But I
couldn't even deleted the bad page then. It moved it to a misplaced notes
section. From there, I could delete it.

When I've gotten that (haven't gotten it yet with Sharepoint) I have not
found any workaround other than the "copy to a fresh notebook" process you
mentioned. Just one of the fun risks of using beta software ;)

I'd log a bug on Connect, and maybe one of the MS folks will pipe in with
suggestions for log files to inspect.

Yes I know that Sharepoint is just a mechanism, but that's important. I
can go into great details how ON integrates with Windows Offline Files
e.g. ;)
