Sync notes with pocket pc

C

Cassie

Hi,

I installed the one note app on my pocket pc.
How do I sync my notes with it?
It appears all I can do is save notes from my pocket pc back to onenote.
I think I could do this in OneNote2003 as well.

How can I choose what notebook I want to view on the ppc?

thanks
Cassie

Is there a separate program for ONENOTE on the pocketpc, does it come with
the ONENOTE software, or does ONENOTE just work with pocketpc applications?
thanks for the help!!

Aloha Tim,

If you're referring to OneNote 2007 there is a new OneNote Mobile that was
designed for SmartPhones but will also work on Windows Mobile 5 PPC devices.

With OneNote 2003 it just works, sort of, with the built-in Notes tool in
Windows Mobile on the PPC. Works in that you can transfer notes from your
PPC to your OneNote but not the other way.

Retail version January. You can get the beta version now already, but it
is a real beta, so expect crashes, hangs, potential data loss, minor and
major annoyances, etc.

Actually I believe it is a true 2 way sync. It only syncs the "OneNote
Mobile Notes" workbook.

I think James was referring to 2007. The "OneNote Mobile Notes" workbook is
a 2007 feature. Each device you sync gets it's own tab. and it is two way.
Shame ink isn't supported. Seems silly that a desktop app that is so
associated with ink and tablets, wasn't written for the ink-centric, touch
screen PPCs.

Hi,

Cassie here again - I can sync the pages in my "Notes from device"
folder but what I am *REALLY* hoping for is a way to sync the whole
notebook so I can read it on my ppc.

I have a lot of subsections, but it doesn't appear I can put any
subsections into the "notes from device" folder, just pages.

Is there a registry setting or anything that could alter the location
of the files to "sync" with the pocket pc?

thanks

Cassie
