sync Palm - Entourage: Microsoft component Plugin was not found

Hi,

I down loaded the handhedl Sync installer ( Microsoft Handheld
Synchronization version 10.1.4.), just to sync my latest Office 2004
(Entourage) with a stand a lone Palm 505.
Though, I can not complete the installation process, it says after showing
the hard disk icoon (HD) < Microsoft component Plugin was not found >
What's wrong, where do I find the plugin?

btw: I'm NOT running the Exchange server. It's just the Powerbook and the
handheld.

Hi Paul,

The installer you downloaded will not work with Entourage 2004. Look on your
Office 2004 CD, or in the Microsoft Office 2004 folder on your HD, in the
Additional Tools folder. You will see your new Handheld Sync Installer.

The Handheld conduit 10.1.4 you can download is not the the one you need for
2004 (it's the one you need for 10.1.4, needless to say).

The conduit installer you need for 2004 is in the Additional Tools folder of
Microsoft Office 2004 folder, at least when installed from a CD and not
excluded. I'm not certain whether it comes with the Test Drive - perhaps
not. Does it?

That's the conduit for Entourage X, which is why you cannot install it. You
need to install the conduit for Entourage 2004, which is located here:
HD/Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Additional Tools/Handheld Sync
