Sync recovery

Hi,

my notebookes (on my laptop) were synched with a folder on my server.
My server broken and the laptop was working with the local copy.

When my server gone up again, the OneNote server folder was empty and
OneNote on the laptop synched with it, deleting everything. (!)

Is there any way to recover files deleted by onenote sync process?
(backup? a sort of recycle bin?) or the only way is via a recovery
utility?

Try File | Open Backup to retrieve the lost notebooks.

However the backup folder does not contain the sections I need. Only
the recently one.
