Sync Services randomly turns off (unchecks inpreferences) - how to fix?

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Processor: Intel
Email Client: Exchange

I use Entourage 2008's sync services to sync my Exchange calendar with my iCal. Seemingly randomly, it seems that every few days the sync services stop working and the checkbox for "synchronize events and tasks with iCal and MobileMe" becomes unchecked. It always works again when I re-check the box, but how can I keep it from continually turning off on me?
Just upgraded to Snow Leopard, but this was a problem under OS 10.5 as well.
