sync start and stop

Hello,
I know I might not be building a plan in the most effective way. so
anyway...

I have created a plan. and on the resource usage view, I went in and
assigned out work. Week by week.
Is there any way to now make the start and stop fields sync up with the work
I have assigned?

Hi greg,

From your description, it sounds as though you may have gotten
things a bit muddled. When you assign resources to tasks the
calculated work on the assignment (visible in the Resource Usage
view) should line up with the start and finish dates of the task.
If there is only one resource assigned, contouring the work should
move the start and end dates. However, if more than one resource is
assigned or you're working with fixed duration tasks,or tasks with
constraints the task start date and finish date may not move.
