Sync to actuals makes Project crash

This is the second time someone here has this problem. When the project owner
wants to sync MS Project crashes. We have no clue why this happens. If
someone else tries this project it crashes also.

Anyone a clue how to solve this? The first project was so small we could
rebuild it, but the one we are having problems with, is pretty large. So
rebuilding would be our last attempt.

Ironically, this also happened to me (three times today on the same project).
