Sync To Actuals

Is there a way to sync with some but not all actuals in a project. Some of
our team members do not enter time in the Project Web Acess and we do not
want to sync actuals for task they are working on as there time will be zero.
We just want to sync time for selected tasks.

Is it possible.

Thanks

If some of your team members do not enter their time in PWA, this conflicts
with the use of Managed Time Periods which assumes that all data entry will
occur in the PWA timesheets. To work around this, have you taken a look at
the Adjust Actuals feature which would allow you to enter the actuals in PWA
rather than in the Microsoft Project plan?

To answer your question, no, there is no way to synch with some actuals and
not all. It's an "all or nothing" process. Hope this helps.

Hello,
We are also experiencing some sync problems.
When we try the Adjust actuals function we gat a warning message. "THere is
a problem with updating your data to the Project Server. Your login
information might not be valid anymore, ot the data you are trying to access
may have been changed or deleted by another user."
I checked nad the data was not changed and the login appears to be valid.
Any ideas?

No idea. Given the fact that you have found more issues, would you please
repost your message with all current information and let the technical folks
in this group take a stab at it?

Dale:

The adjust actuals feature can be only used by the administrator. Project
Managers do not have admin access , is it still possible for them to get to
adjust actuals in PWA or some other way they can ebter the time on behalf of
resource who do not have PWA acess to enter time.

We do not want all PM's sending time to admin to enter/adjust actuals. Any
help will be appreciated.

The Project Server administrator needs to modify the Project Managers
category by setting the Adjust Actuals permission to Allow. Hope this
helps.
