Sync with Address Book not working after database repair.

Hi,
I'm using Entourage WSE and Snow Leopard. This weekend I suddenly got an error from Entourage telling my database was corrupt. I ran the database utility and repaired it. Everything seemed fine. Then I realized that the Address Book and iCal which I always sync with Entourage were empty (and thus the contacts on my iphone which syncs with AB and ical).

I went to Entourage preferences, Sync Services and saw that both fields (Sync Contacts with Adress Book/ Sync events with ical) were checked. I unchecked them, rechecked them, nothing happened.
I went to Entourage Hepl Site and reset all my sync services (http://www.entourage.mvps.org/troubleshoot/syncservices.html)

Now, when I checked the two fields in Entourage preferences, the dialogue appeared which asks you if you want to overwrite or merge data in Address book and ical. I selected overwrite (as address book and ical were empty) and hit ok. But nothing happened. Address book and ical still empty.
Any idea what goes wrong? How can I get my entourage contacts back in the Apple Adressbook?

Something has happened in Snow Leopard so that the over write function
doesn't seem to work right in iCal. Anyway, what I'd suggest is a full
reset of the syncservices folder. First, turn off all Entourage
sync'g. Go to Apple.com support and look for the article TS1627 and
follow the Snow Leopard instructions. Run the terminal command even
though it says this is optional. Restart the computer. Oh and before
you do anything back everything up including your Entourage main
identity.

After restart, go to iCal and delete the Entourage calendar. Go to
Entourage and enable sync but choose the combine command. It will
create a Entourage calendar and everything should be there. This
should also populate Addressbook. If however, Addressbook tells
Entourage to delete its contacts (unlikely) revert to your backups and
do the above but this time choose overwrite for Addressbook (this
works) and then back in Entourage prefs and on the second sync for
Calendar choose combine. So, this is two sync operation - first you
over write Addressbook then you switch to Calendar and choose combine.
That should do it.
