sync with protected actuals

O

OK

So far we don't want our users to fill their time sheets, just see their
tasks and probably projects.
We decided to use managed Periods and set it for the entire year.
But when project managers try to change something in their projects they
receive a message: The actual work may be out of sync with the actual work
updated from timesheets. Do you want to sync with protected actuals when you
save this project?
What to answer in this case and it is a normal behavior ?

And they can't delete any old task ....

You are making a mistake using Managed Time Periods if you do not want your
team members to enter time in their timesheets. With the use of Managed
Time Periods, Project Server only allows actuals to be entered in PWA, and
does not permit actuals to be entered manually in the Microsoft Project
plan. Therefore, in your current situation, your Project Server
administrator should disable the Managed Time Periods feature until you are
ready to "go live" with the timesheet reporting piece. Hope this helps.

Hey Dale. Just to clarify for myself here. Are you saying that if I adjust
actuals through PWA, the manager accepts the adjustment to the actuals, if I
sync to protected actuals at a later date, I won't lose the adjustments?
