Sync

I just purchased One Note, unfortuantely I cannot get it to sync any
suggestions. When create a new workbook and then send an email I open it on
my laptop and it either asked for username and password or just says it can't
find the folder
Any help would be appreciated, unfortuately I was on the phone with
Microsoft for 4.5 hours to no avail.

What steps did you use to create the notebook you want to share? Where
is it located? (On your C: drive? On a network folder?)

in a notebook folder in my documants on the c drive

And have you shared that folder in Windows so that you can access it
from the other machine? (I'm guessing not)

Yes I have shared it but it says it cannot find it, I can see it on the
nestwork. Do I have to set up users on both computers that coincide with the
other computer Laptop and PC vs PC an laptop

When you're logged in from one of the other computers you have to be
able to open that folder from the other computer.

Then, in OneNote on the other computer you should be able to go to File
| Open | Notebook and navigate to that shared folder.

Let's put ot this way, after 6 hours on with support, they have made a total
mess of everything I have to hire and IT guy to come in and redo, I have know
idea where they are sending the notebooks Thanks for the help

O.K., well a competent IT guy should be able to set up a shared notebook
for you in pretty short order. I've done it remotely in just a few
minutes for clients so I'm sure it won't take your guy very long.
