Synch Iphone with corporate Outlook account

Appologize in advance if this has been asked but my co-worker has an iPhone
he is trying to get it to synch with our corporate outlook account ... Full
disclosure he bought an application called "Mobile Me" and he stated to try
the setup. It failed when it got to something asking for a login and
password. From what I understand "Mobile Me" get's installed on the laptop
that has the login and password and then send the date from the laptop to
some black cloud in the sky. Then the iPhone should seek out the Mobile Me
black cloud and load the information to the phone.

a) Has anyone used Mobile me and know how to fix the problem
b) do you have an easier way to get the information from outlook to the phone?

If your corporation has an Exchange server the iPhone/iPod Touch can be
configured to use Exchange ActiveSync (sort of) to get the mail from the
server.

Of course, just because you CAN doesn't necessarily mean you SHOULD. Your
corporate IT department should be able to help you, unless they have a
policy against using iPhones for corporate data. Which they could, since
there are some security issues with iPhones that give corporate IT
departments pause.

You'll get better answers from people who use mobileme with exchange and
outlook - they are in Apple's iPhone forum for Mail, Calendar and Contact
issues at http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=1144

Note there is an issue with older model iphone and the newest update related
to encryption settings on Exchange.
