Synch problem

Gabriel

I have an Exchange account and some personal POP accounts declared in my
OL2003 profile. Problem is that I am usually traveling with no direct
connection to the Exchange server, because of this OL dislpays the "No
Connection" icon on the bottom right. Once this happens OL will not try to
fetch the POP email every 5 minutes as it is configured to do, I need to
manually click on the send/receive icon.
Is there a way for OL to get the POP email even if there is no connection to
the Exchange server?

Thank you.

You can define Send/Receive groups for this by going to Tools-> Options->
tab Mail Setup-> button Send/Receive...

Thank you Roady,

I tried this and didn't work, it still won't get the email automatically.
Basically, once the icon appears, OL stops looking for email.

Do you think perhaps this is something that "should work" but doesn't? Or
maybe I do have something wrong in my configuration. It is not a fatal flaw,
but a nuissance.

You "should" have your Exchange account and POP3 accounts in separate
profiles to prevent exactly this type of problem.
