Synching data from server to web

I am updating data from the backend by using the these two flag fields
proj_ext_edited_text and proj_ext_edited to indicate that data is external in
the msp_projects table. This used to work and after some changes to my
global template, it no longer works. Do you have any recommendations on how
to fix this or any other solutions to propose to synch the data between two
databases to the web?
