Synchronize Outlook 2007 between 2 computers

André

I use Outlook 2007 on 2 different computers, one a desktop, running Vista
Ultimate and the other a Laptop, under XP SP2 (soon SP3). Both computers are
networked (wired) trough a router. My email account is a POP3 and I leave my
messages on the email server (10 days) I am looking for a solution to
synchronize both Outlook installations.

I am using SyncToy (I copy all Outlook files to a third location) which does
a good job. My major problem is that once copied Outlook tries to
re-download all messages.

Is there a file that indicates which messages have been downloaded so that
the new copy can know which messages are new and which have already been
downloaded from the email server?

Thanks, André

No, as that information is a hidden message within the pst-file itself.
Overwriting you main pst-file back and forth between computers is a mail
profile corruption waiting to happen. Outlook doesn't offer a native way to
sync pst-files between computers but there are 3rd party tools for this such
as;
